Marianne, Gucci & Scott Prepare a Cigar Factory Tour.

Yesterday Marianne joined Scott and Gucci the dog on a tour of Charleston’s Cigar Factory. Heavy construction began in early June and is progressing perfectly. As walls are torn down the construction crew is finding some really cool features, including hidden archways, old signs and other artifacts from back when the building was a true Cigar Factory.

Second Floor Space Will Soon Be Office Space.

Above is one of several archways that was buried behind newer walls. The main factory building had 7 additions added to it over the course of its 125 year  history.

Gutted Second Floor Shows Just How Massive The Cigar Factory Is.

In the shot above, you can get a sense of just how large the Cigar Factory is. Construction is scheduled to be near completion by Summer 2010.
