Toyota Crushing An Icon.

Have you seen the above Toyota “Cash for Clunkers” commercial? The first thing you have to wonder about this spot is why on earth are they crushing a classic Land Cruiser? Why would Toyota label one of their most beloved vehicles as a “clunker?” The Land Cruiser was introduced back in 1954. Since then, loyal fans have formed tons of Land Cruiser clubs, including the Toyota Land Cruiser Association, an organization that has been around for 30 years. And Toyota takes this icon, crushes it and sends it to the boneyard. It is us, or is this a case of Toyota not thinking about the history of their brand?
