Hook – Now Available in Two-Ply.

After booking tickets to New Orleans to attend the first ever Ad Age Small Agency Conference, we started thinking about fun ways to let conference attendees know a little bit more about our agency. The answer came in the form of cottony-soft, two-ply toilet paper.

In order to have the TP printed in time for the conference, we had to act fast. Copy was written in an airport terminal. Layouts were done and the mechanical was also finalized minutes before boarding a plane back to Charleston.

The printed rolls were shipped to our hotel the night before the conference. On the morning of the conference we secretly replaced the hotel TP (which, by the way, was not very soft) with Hook branded TP.

Once the conference began, so did the tweeting. Within one hour we saw the first tweet (image to the left). A few more positive tweets followed after the first break. We also heard some nice feedback on the elevators as well. One person asked if Hook “sponsored” the toilet paper.

It was a nice little example of our agency practicing what we preach. “Be different, people will notice. Be relevant and they’ll listen.” You could even say we’re serving as roll models.
